Wooden boards and more

We recently did some refurbishing and when we bought wood boards they were protected by plastic soft lining, which I promptly used as a filler for stabilizing my new beach bag by crocheting around stripes of it.

 

New ideas for old material

This particular kind of potato sack was never my favored material until I discovered that it is great for a filler. Here, I led it along the crocheting as stabilizing material.

As simple as it gets

Why cut up the nets when they are perfectly intact? Just decorate them.
 

Exhibition "Vernetzt" in Horstmar

All September we five exhibit in Hortsmar Ostendorf. It is a lovely joint adventure in metal sculpture, painting and upcycling!

Friends

Have a hobby and you will meet interesting people. Following the Daruper Landpartie, a lady called me from her vacation at the beach asking if I was interested in the blue nets she had found at the beach and obtained from a local artist - complete with shells and feathers. So nice, thank you!

On top of that, she even opened up a new collection site at the Stift Tilbeck store in Nottuln.

And here is what became of the blue nets:

The simplest see-through way of taking advantage of the sturdiness of the potato sack.

 

In the end, I liked it better with handle and closure.

Firewood net and cassette tape

Firewood comes in nets, which are woven so that it is easy to separate the threads for finer works.

Croissant

Finally, I found a use for all the nets, which were ripped, working them in basket-maker style. Somehow, they formed themselves and became a croissant-clutch.
