Time filler and meditation: worked up the last batch of light orange nets and made another oldies tape into a pouch

Crochet 80ies

Knitting tape is okay, but I find the chrocheted material more sturdy. This is a pouch from 90 min of 80ies.

90 min clutch

I rescued a bag full of cassette tapes from the trash bin and was curious how the material would work. Here is a shiny "Depeche Mode" clutch for the 80ies lover. A band of one 90 min, respectively one cassette, is sufficient for a bag of this size. Quite amazing!

Rose bag and flower chair

It had been a wish for some time to re-upholster an old armchair. I finally found one from the 1950s which I redid with the help of my carpenter-friend. It was finished faster than expected, so the bag came next as an in-between projects.

Leftover green

...black, pink and burgundy. Copied the style from a commercial bag I saw and liked.

Butterfly

Spring, finally. I had some leaves left from my attempt to make 3D flowers which were not needed for the pigeon below.

Gravestone

It took me forever to come up with an idea for a lock for this bag. Then unexpectedly, my VW died an untimely death - and supplied me with the fastening. The ball is the weight from the trunk cover.

Pigeons

This seems to be the time for more pigeons.

Ewalds toy

Here is a new use for potato sack: I stuffed a toy for my new baby-grand-dog with it: it has a rattle in the middle (nut in an empty bubble gum container) and some crackling on one corner (plastic ad sheet from an orange net). He seems to like it.😉

Yellow

Thanks to my many collectors I have finally enough material of one color, even of the rare ones.

Such perfect trash!

These soft corner blocks were rescued from their trash fate some years ago. Then, my daughter kept them for years envisioning some potential use. When she moved out, they popped up again and still ended up in the trash. I picked them out again, and this time, found the use: super toy blocks for my granddaughter. The ugly side I covered with a 20-year old Medicini poster and now we additionally have a puzzle!

Starling net mania

The large green bird net from the last collection still triggers me. The great thing was that you got one single thread out of it, no knotting, and the cutting was like meditation.

Upcycled for you

Washed and trimmed, nets from the last collection await their users! Ready to use nets will be available in the exchange telefon booth at the AWM recycling yard in Roxel starting Dec 13. You will find:

- Nets for slippery yarns

- Multipurpose large nets

Someone's treasure

Last week I received word that the recycling bin at the AWM yard Eulerstraße was full again. Indeed it was - mainly due to a large green net. It is a first for me and I am eager to work with it! Thank you to all collectors!

Residues

There were only small amounts of material left, so it became handbags. The Christmas-tree-net silvery one stayed in Mecklenburg, where my collectors showered me with two washing baskest full of carrot nets.

Outdoor bobbin lace flower

The idea was to decorate neglected industry structures with colorful motifs. I tried flowers, but was not satisfied, especially after I saw the building decoration shown by Kruzhevnoy on Instagram: link 1, link2. Chapeau!
