Dots and Rings, the 3rd

The donation of a larger amount of nets made it possible to work something for Haverkamp again. I put it up today and noted that the four crocheted rings from the 2nd set had gone missing! So, whoever has them, enjoy!

Some rings from the 1st installation are still doing well, while some lost their color and I removed them.

Continuing...

As a new grandmother, there are lots of other things to make, but every now and then I turn to my nets again....

Light backpack

They seem to be popular these days: simple back-bags made from cotton. This one was made from carrot nets using a knitting loom. It has an inner fabric lining.

Indian summer

A bit early, but I felt like it. Made from lemon, orange and onion nets.

The bin was full!

Even during corona - the collection bin at the Münster central recycling yard was full for the first time! Thank you AWM!

New nets

Picked up the latest collection by the extended family. Thank you all for the effort!

Tractor

My godson is crazy for tractors, thus, I made one. A piece of one-way net was useful as well.😄

And then - he demanded a trailer!

Trash collage

Handcrafted one-way net structure paper was used. The idea was to create a small personal gift with a story to tell without burdening someone with a bulky present of no use to them. The idea originated from a conversation I once had with my late friend Al Yergey, a mass spectrometrist, who had started to learn botanical drawing. He did not want to give his originals away and I told him to scan, print and sign his work to generate presents which would be treasured by the receiver. He gave me a drawing of a rhododendron bud a year later, which has been decorating a wall in my home ever since.

96-well mice - smile

In our lab plastic trash of one-way consumables is abundant. It is a pity that this pure PP-trash does not find its way to recycling (I asked).

The smiley is a Christmas party product of our group in 2017.

Upcycling Easter

While I was working on these traditional Easter eggs ->

my daughter reminded me that I might as well do something with my favored material. Here it is - the new dressing for goose eggs. Happy Easter!
